The new Galaxy S25 Edge is yet another premium smartphone for Samsung. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite mobile platform powers it and you’ve got a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. Coming in at 5.8mm thick, it is also the thinnest device ever that Samsung has launched, providing you with style, portability and future tech sophistication. Although sleek the smartphone is not in any loss in performance. With Galaxy AI functionality, including multimodal AI that allows for real‑time interactions with your voice, text and images —all of which take it to the top of the game in premium land.
It sports an impressive camera set up with a 200MP primary sensor and 12MP front camera that will give top notch pictures and videos. Different to its Ultra counterpart, the S25 Edge does not include a telephoto lens but it retains flagship level specs that photographers and content creators will appreciate.
The high end smartphone Galaxy S25 Edge is priced between ₹1.09 lakh and ₹1.22 lakh. It shows how important India is growing into a global production hub, Samsung manufacturing this model in India. Samsung is among those companies conducting production in India, with the Noida plant its biggest smartphone manufacturing facility globally.
Samsung contributed 20 percent of global OEM share in Indian smartphone production, becoming the top leader for 2024 in Counterpoint Researchs data. Samsung’s aim in producing high end devices like the Galaxy S25 Edge locally at home is to serve not only domestic, but international customers as well, lower production costs and enjoy government subsidies under the PLI (Production Linked Incentive) scheme.
The launch and local manufacturing of Galaxy S25 Edge is an important milestone for us as we continue to invest in India’s manufacturing ecosystem and also to innovate in the smartphone industry. Besides being a commitment to India, the shift is also one that other global tech companies will be put under the pressure to localize a portion of their production to make their footprints in the huge Indian market.
