​This is across 19 US based AI startups based on $100 million or more in funding as of April 2025 giving an indication of how sustained the AI sector is. These are the companies and their funding rounds summed up:

April 2025

SandboxAQ: got a $450M Series E, making the company worth $5.7B. Among its investors are Nvidia, Google and Bridgewater Associates founder Ray Dalio.​

Raised a $308M Series D and raised to a firm valuation of $3B. General Atlantic led the round with participation from SoftBank, Nvidia and Fidelity.​

March 2025

OpenAI: closes historical $40B funding round and at $300B is now the third biggest valued startup in the world. SoftBank led the round with participation from Microsoft, Coatue, Thrive Capital and others.​

Announced Nexthop AI in a $110M Series A led by Lightspeed Venture Partners with additional backing from Kleiner Perkins, Battery Ventures, Emergent Ventures.​

Value Partners and Pudong Chuangtou, co-led a Series E raise for Insilico Medicine, valuing the company at $1B.​

Secured a $250M Series C and valued the company at $2.5B Tiger Global, BlackRock and Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan participated in the round, among others, led by Fidelity Intelligence.​

Flagship Pioneering led a $200M seed round for Lila Sciences, the company, as well as spun out of Flagship, with additional funding from March Capital, General Catalyst, and ARK Venture Fund.​

Other:Meme stock Roblox’s treasury rose to $1B and a $40B valuation, raised $150M, dropped $10B in a week, and the story continues. And CRV and Lightspeed Venture Partners led the round.​

Closed a $111M Series E and is now valued at $2.2B. Khazanah Nasional led round, with injections from WestBridge Capital, Gaingels and Sozo Ventures.​

Secured a $240M Series F to speed the development of its AI defense technology.​

February 2025

Raised a $3.5B Series E, with the company now worth $61.5B. Lightspeed led the round, and Salesforce Ventures, Menlo Ventures and General Catalyst participated.​

Obtained a $305M Series B, valuing c $3.3B. General Catalyst, as well as Nvidia, Lux Capital and Salesforce Ventures, also participated in the round along with Prosperity7.​

Secured a $480M Series D, giving it a valuation of close to $2.5B. Nvidia, G Squared along with co-lead SGW and Andra Capital participated in the round.​

Raised a $250M Series D and valued at $2.75B. Lightspeed, Redpoint, Spark Capital and IVP and Elad Gil led the round.​

Secured a $105M Series A led by General Catalyst, with participation from Floodgate, Defy Ventures, Everywhere Ventures, etc.​

Raised a $100M Series B led by Tiger Global, join by Scout Ventures, Samsung Ventures and RTX Ventures.​

Harvey: Valued at $3B through a $300M Series D funding. Participants included Sequoia, OpenAI Startup Fund, Kleiner Perkins and Elad Gil.​

January 2025

Raised a $180M Series C and is now valued at over $3B. ICONIQ Growth and Andreessen Horowitz led the round, with participation from Sequoia, NEA and Salesforce Ventures.​

Secured a $141M Series B (which valued it over $1.6B). Kleiner Perkins led the round with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Nvidia and General Catalyst.
